It was nice to watch the cricket from Chester-le-Street on Foxsports last night.
Shame the stands looked pretty sparse but with the cheapest tickets at £35 per day and with the Ashes coming up later this summer, plus the football season still being on, there is only so much people can afford to spend especially in the current GEC. Yet again though the ECB has missed a trick, we paid about £35-£40 each for a 5 day pass at the Test Matches in New Zealand last year.
Never mind the sun was shinning so the shots of the Lumley Castle and the surrounding area looked great. Apparently it was only 10 degrees though, but it looked warm enough on TV!
It certainly wetted my appetite for being back in the region soon.
